Perception
Everything is strange, am i right? Life is strange, love is strange and people are strange, but by accepting this is to live in peace, to make a truce with your own reality.
Oh yeah, by the way, I’m Kübra, I should probably introduce myself before writing deep, smushy crap. I can almost feel the eye rolls, give me a break alright, I’m an English Literature and Creative Writing student, cringey shit is all i have.
All jokes aside though I hope you all enjoy my blog, it is fundamentally a lifestyle blog, meaning it can be pretty much anything, as I don’t want to put my content in a box. I want you all to feel like you can relate to what I have to say and most importantly be able to engage with my words, and of course feel free to get in contact and leave any and/or comments below.
So, going back to the stuff you guys gagged on at the beginning, I hate to break it to you (well actually that’s a lie, I love it) it is going to be the basis for my first official blog post topic. I just wanted to grab your attention, and now I’m going to let it fester; I want YOU to think about what your reality means to you. Is it daunting? Scary? Exciting? And why is this?
I know what you’re thinking, creative writing student, bullshit clichés, bet you’re thinking you could have put money on it. But honestly, this past couple of years I have done some serious thinking and I have come to a few conclusions I would like to share with you all.
Bear with me and read carefully…
“No live organism can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality.”
Shirley Jackson, The Haunting of Hill House
Inititally, I thought you cannot rebuke this, I think we can all admit to a tinge of insanity. However, I’m beginning to think that ‘reality’ is somewhat flexible, it can seem elusive, but it’s YOURS, it’s what YOU make it. Sane, insane, its a ‘fugazi, fugazi. It’s a wazy, it’s a woozie. It’s fairy dust’. Live your idealised reality and own it. (puke)
Going off on a tangent here, but do you ever think of something and secretly congratulate yourself, thinking go me and then find out someone famous has already thought of it… you know where I’m going with this.
“Nothing ever becomes real ’til it is experienced.”
John Keats
Good ol’ John Keats, great minds think alike and all that, haha. But, seriously, all of your scary versions of reality can be altered, it’s not real until it happens, so make your expriences good ones! And well if Keats said it… then need I say anymore?
I hope you have all enjoyed my first blog, and stay tuned for more to come…
With love KX
